“Places, stories and people from my childhood are prominent parts of what shaped me to become the person that I am.” Although people have different opinion but this is something that is true to most people. For instance, Sohrab’s perception of Kashan that is a dry and earthy place was a sea that extends to infinity, and he was looking to build a boat to travel to the city behind this sea. The question is where did he perceive the sea from? The ceramics? The sky? Or his own heart. What do I see? I hope no one ever takes my childhood away and more importantly I hope that I never forget part of my memory. The Kashan table is a reminder for all of us of that blue sky, when there isn’t even a hint of a water drop in our rivers.” Said by designer, Sina Karbasian
