Coins Drop Collar
The design tries to recreate magnificent symbols and their beauty by searching in the heart of Iranian history and culture.
This artwork is a native accessory in Iran’s northern cities, all of its ribbons are woven by hand and sewn on velvet along with old coins of the Pahlavi monarchy.
This collar was used by newlywed brides and women in their special ceremonies and gatherings.
The higher the social rank of the women the more coins were used on their accessories.
Using silver or gold coins was considered the highest level of luxury.
Each piece takes 10 days to make.
