“Samarqand” is one of Middle East’s historic centers and it was one of the cities in ancient Persia which was also located in the silk road. This city has been marked as historic landmark by UNESCO work heritage. The city was prominent is terms of literature and art in Persia and it has been cited by many poets in all kinds of literature, including Hafez, Saadi,Nezami, Molana and even Ferdosi who are Persias biggest names in literature history. The fabric that has been used in this piece has been hand made in Samarqand and is made out of pure silk. It is commonly known that silk fabrics have to be dry cleaned.
